Kadai Paneer

Another variety of Paneer delicacy! Simple & easy to make and goes well with chapati..

Kadai Paneer



Ingredients
1. Onion - 1
2. Tomatoes - 2 ( finely chopped)
3. Capsicum - 1 (cubed)
4. Paneer - 250gms (cubed)
5. Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
6. Corinader-cumin powder - 1 tsp
7. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
8. Red chilli powder - 1tsp
9. Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
10. Kasturi methi - 1tsp (optional)
11. Oil - 1-2 tsp
12. Saunf - 1tsp
13. Salt - to taste


Preparation Time!!
1. Soak the paneer in hot water for a while. You could fry the paneer if you like!
2. In a pan, add oil saunf, coriander seeds and when turn a light brown, add onion
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté well till they turn a lighter shade of pink
4. Follow this up with tomato and cook till the tomato turn mushy
5. To this add chilli, coriander-cumin and garam masala powder
6. Crush Kasturi methi and add to mixture. Add salt and mix well. Let it cook for 5-6 min
7. Add capsicum and sauté for 2-3 min
8. As the subzi is getting cooked, remove the paneer and cube it and add it to the pan
9. Mix well and leave for 4-5 min for the paneer to get the coating
10. Serve hot with chapati and is also a good option for lunch box!


I didn't have a small kadai so served in bowl, you could serve in a kadai and make the dish true to its name :))


Serving - 2-3 people
Duration - 1/2 hour
